Clear Pond Water
This summer we had the prettiest, clearest water, since Bubba first designed the pond in 2004. We have used no chemicals. We have learned a few tricks thru the years:
Plants, plants, plants
A fresh ultraviolet light bulb
A bale of barley straw
Clean filters
The right fish food. Tetra Pondfood helps keep the water clear.
Algae on the waterfall seems to keep the pond clearer in the summertime.
Learning the tricks and lots of luck help keep the water beautifully clear.
Its only scary if a duck lands on your waterfall.
